Publish the terms and privacy information buyers need before checking out. Follow the steps below in the selected store’s dashboard.
Set it up#
Open Legal
Go to Storefront → Legal for the selected store.
Write store-specific policies
Explain your products, delivery process, support contact, refund conditions, and how customer information is used.
Save and inspect the pages
Open the published terms and privacy pages from the storefront, not only the dashboard editor.
Check the checkout links
Review the policy links presented during checkout and make sure they point to your store’s actual policies.
Your store’s policies#
Policies should describe your business and products. A platform’s own terms do not automatically explain your delivery promises or customer support arrangements.
Custom themes#
A custom footer or checkout integration can omit links that a default theme includes. After editing a theme, verify that visitors can still reach the relevant policy pages before making a purchase.
If something does not work#
What to check
If a policy link points to the platform’s legal pages instead of your storefront policy, check the hostname and the custom theme’s links. Relative links should stay on the store’s domain.
Still stuck? Contact support with the store, affected page, and relevant order or request reference.
