Customer balance

Let customers pay instantly from store credit you manage.

Set it up#

In the dashboard, open Payments → Payment setup. Choose Customer balance and select Turn on.

Open Customers, choose a customer and add balance, or use the customer balance API.

At checkout, signed-in customers with enough balance can pay with it. The order completes immediately.

Balance payments have no provider fee. Refunding to balance is a quick way to make good on an order without reversing a card payment.

What to check

If customers don’t see the option, check that they are signed in with the email that holds the balance and that the balance covers the whole order.
