Connect OVGC

Let buyers pay with gift cards on an OVGC checkout.

Set it up#

Copy your API key

In the OVGC dashboard, open API Keys and copy your payment API key.

Set a webhook secret

In the dashboard, open Payments → Payment setup. Choose OVGC and copy the webhook endpoint. In OVGC, open Webhooks, paste the endpoint and choose a secret.

Connect in the dashboard

Paste the API key and the same webhook secret into the dialog and select Connect.

Place a small order

OVGC has no test mode, so confirm the setup with a small real order.

Checkout timing#

An OVGC checkout expires 30 minutes after the buyer opens it. Every payment is checked with OVGC before the order is marked paid.

If something does not work#

What to check

An “invalid amount” error means the order is below OVGC’s minimum. “Payment gateway inactive” means your OVGC account needs to be reactivated with OVGC support.
